Cordell M. Parsons, Waupaca, WI (formerly of Almond, WI) age 91 – passed away on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at Park Vista in Waupaca, WI. She was born on April 14, 1921 in the Township of Union, Waupaca County, WI, the daughter of George and Anita (Behnke) Preuss. She married Harvey D. Parsons on June 29, 1938 in Waupaca, WI. He preceded her in death on May 17, 1992. Cordell is survived by her son, Harvey “Bud” (Debra) Parsons, Jr of Monticello, GA; grandchildren: Alan, Perry, Cheryl, Laura, Amanda, Tina, Tonya, Tony, Tim, Scott, Michelle, Tasha, Robert, and Matthew; great grandchildren: Adam, Astin, Alyssa, Jacob, Rory, Shelby, Steve, Levi, Clay, Brady, Ashlee, Alex, Dylan, Manuel, Cheyenne, Jackson, Aspen, Mollie Jo, Colton, and Cadence, and a sister, Jean (Lyle) Manney of McNeal, AZ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Parsons, Sr; a daughter, Barbara Kowaleski; a son, Dennis Parsons, two infant sons, infant twin daughters, and three siblings. Cordell and her husband had owned and operated a feed mill in Almond for 26 years. She also served as the bookkeeper/secretary for the feed mill. Cordell was a very gifted painter and had won many awards at various art shows. She also enjoyed music and had played the accordion in bands over many years. She also enjoyed playing golf, knitting, and crocheting. Cordell was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Almond. A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 7, 2012 at 10:00 AM at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Almond, WI with Rev. Brian Roehrborn, Pastor, officiating. Interment was in the Almond Village Cemetery in Almond, WI. The Hardell-Holly Funeral Home of Almond, WI assisted the family with arrangements.
