Dr. Terese Barta will talk about mushrooms at 8 p.m. Saturday, July 14, at the amphitheater ar Hartman Creek State Park.
A professor of biology at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, Barta will discuss mushroom identification and dispel the myths of how to tell edible mushrooms from poisonous ones. Information will be shared on the most sought-after fungi and the types that should be avoided.
This is the third program in the summer speaker series sponsored by the Friends of Hartman Creek
There is no charge for the program but a park sticker is required.
