Dain, John G.

John G. Dain, age 77, Janesville, died peacefully at home on Tues., July 10, 2012. Jack was born in New London, WI, on June 1, 1935. His parents were the late Earl and Dorothy (Bodoh) Dain. He was a retired GM auto assembler and a member of Nativity of Mary Catholic Church. Jack was preceded in death by his parents and his older sister Elda (Dain) Stillmank. He is survived by his brother-in-law, Maurice Stillmank of Janesville; his 5 nephews and nieces: John (Jean) Stillmank of Madison, Paul (Maggie) Stillmank of Glendale, Mary (Jeff) Hillmann of Milton, Joseph (Brenda) Stillmank of Waukesha, and Anne Stillmank of Janesville; many great-nephews and great-nieces; and cousins in the New London area, especially Mary Roloff and Joan Quaintance. The Mass of Resurrection was celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Fri., July 13, 2012 at Nativity Of Mary Catholic Church, Janesville, with Fr. Kevin Dooley officiating. Interment will be in Most Precious Blood Cemetery, New London, WI. Friends called Friday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass at the church. Since Jack was a cancer survivor, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Schneider Apfel Schneider & Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting the family.
