Linske, Joy

Joy Linske, age 79 of Clintonville, passed away on Sunday, July 15, 2012 at her home. She was born in Newark, NJ on May 14, 1933, daughter of the late Christian A. and Cathryn (Callery) Malkmus. On June 11, 1955, Joy was united in marriage to William J. “Bill” Linske at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Newark, NJ. Joy enjoyed bridge, was a member of the “Red Hats Society” and spending time with her family. She also had extraordinary gardening skills and detailed plant knowledge. Joy always left her mark everywhere she had lived. She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Bill; five children: Kurt (Alison) Linske, Guildford, CT; Lisa (Mike) O’Connell, Rockville, MD; Jill (Frank) Pribyl, Racine, WI; Erik (Jennifer) Linske, Greendale, WI and Hope (Darren) Rice, Potomac Falls, VA. Joy is further survived by 12 grandchildren, one brother and numerous other family and friends. She was preceded in death by a sister, Rita Muller. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, July 20, 2012 at St. Rose Catholic Church with Fr. John “Jack” Mullarkey presiding. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 pm on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at the funeral home. Visitation will continue from 9:00 am until the hour of Mass at the church on Friday.
