I know a guy who tells me he votes Democrat for “the little guy.”
Our government was founded to look out for the little guy, as in “All men are created equal.” This was meant to be a government of law.
That’s why we have a statue of justice with a blindfold on. This means all are equal before the law.
Without equality under the law, little guys would get shoved around all the time.
When the laws are ignored, you don’t stand a chance against big government, big business or your bigger neighbors.
Democrats are becoming scofflaws.
The present administration has refused to defend the Defense of Marriage Act.
They refuse to prosecute voter intimidation cases where victims are white.
They violate laws protecting bond holders when taking over car manufacturers.
They refuse to enforce immigration laws.
They lie about walking guns to Mexico.
Not only does the government now refuse to deport people under 30 years old, they have gone to war against Arizona.
Since the Supreme Court decided to allow Arizona police to determine immigration status of those they arrest, the Obama Administration announced it would no longer provide immigration status of illegal immigrants detained by Arizona law enforcement.
If we are a nation of law, how can we have a president pick and choose which laws to enforce?
Here’s something you probably don’t know; this government has given the president the power to have American citizens arrested and detained for as long as he wants without a trial or any legal recourse.
This was done through the Defense Reauthorization Act last December.
If President Obama says you are a terrorist, you have no rights, no habeas corpus, no legal recourse, no trial. You’re gone, just like we were in Cuba or Venezuela.
So who’s looking out for the “the little guy” when the president can make you disappear?
