Clintonville Foundation to host gala

The Clintonville Area Foundation Board of Directors has set the date for its third annual gala fundraiser, Shades of Autumn, to be held Saturday, Oct. 13, at Mason’s Ridge, Clintonville.

The event will feature dinner, catered by Mathew’s Supper Club, and entertainment for folks interested in supporting the foundation. Clintonville High School teacher Veronica Campbell’s FACE class will be preparing and distributing the desserts for the Gala, prepared by the high school foods class.

Before dinner, guests will enjoy music from the Clintonville High School Band. Artwork by Clintonville High School students will be featured in the decorations and centerpieces.

Following dinner the annual Community Hero Award will also be presented. This award and accompanying charitable fund were created by Dan Olk, a 1975 graduate of Clintonville High School who now works in Ames, Iowa, as a soil biochemist with the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

After the presentations there will be dancing to music by the EdguKators band, which features Clintonville natives Sussanah (Reinke) and Chris Sasman and friends.

Reservations are $75 per person. Proceeds from this event go to the Clintonville Community Fund, which benefits local community needs. Grants from the Community Fund have provided things such as supplies and clothing for students in the Clintonville schools, helped area day care centers fund security systems and playground equipment, and aided the Clintonville Police Department in the development and implementation of the K-9 Unit.
