Longtime resident of the Waupaca area, Robert Stemper was a patient at Riverside Medical Center (RMC) many times during his lifetime- and his family honored his memory by providing scholarships to some of the employees at RMC. This scholarship was given at the request of his two children as a means of continuing their father’s legacy in this community. In addition, other Stemper family members contributed to the scholarship which enabled the awarding of multiple scholarships.
On August 10th Margee Stemper awarded a $1000 scholarship in memory of her husband to Maureen (Maggie) Kramer, a paramedic in the Emergency Department at RMC. In addition, the following staff were recipients of $200 scholarships from the Robert Stemper family: Tamie Winkelman,Melanie Hirte,Audrey Rosin, Jean Ann Schroeder,Susan Ruggiere, Jackie Trzebiatowski,Tisha Barth, and Carmen Miller.
This gift will ripple through our community having impact on the future patients we see in our community hospital.
