There is a sudden rush of polls asking if you are better off today than four years ago. Unless you are part of the upper 1 percent, you probably said no.
A better question is “Would you be better off today if Sen. John McCain and Gov. Sarah Palin had been elected and continued the policies of the Bush administration?” If you answered no, then how could you vote Republican and return the nation to the economic policies of 2000-08 that caused the recession in the first place?
Mitt Romney claims to have new ideas to restore the economy. But since there are no specifics we can only assume “same old, same old.” Remember that U.S. Rep. Paul Ryan voted 91 percent of the time in support of Bush’s economic policies.
