Behm, Marlyn F.

Marlyn F. Behm, age 89, of Weyauwega, died on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at Riverside Medical Center in Waupaca. He was born on March 25, 1923 in Saxeville, son of the late Walter and Lillie (Radichel) Behm. On February 17, 1946 he married Dorothy Doede in West Bloomfield. She preceded him in death in 2009. Marlyn proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Arndt-Bruley American Legion Post 176 in Weyauwega. He was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Weyauwega. Marlyn loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also loved the beautiful outdoors and the special family times he had sitting next to a campfire up north listening to the beautiful calls of the Loons. Survivors include his children: Duane (Karen) Behm, Tempe, AZ.; Lon (Gaye) Behm, Palmyra; four grandchildren: Tawnya (Dan) Caldwell, Tucson, AZ.; Tyler (Carrie) Behm, Waddell, AZ.; Josh (Heidi) Behm, Helenville; Miranda (Matt) Macur, Mukwonago; eight great-grandchildren: Zach and Tatum Caldwell, Colby and Casey Behm, Aiden and Grace Behm and Hannah and Jack Macur. He is further survived by a brother LaVerne Behm, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Besides his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a brother Eldor Behm, two great grandchildren, Joseph Behm and Robert Behm. The memorial service for Marlyn will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Weyauwega with Rev. Dennis Lemke and Rev. Newlin Schafer officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Weyauwega. A visitation for Marlyn will be held directly at the church on Saturday from 9:30a.m. until the time of the service.
