The Thunderbird varsity, junior varsity and freshman teams will play at Wittenberg-Birnamwood Tuesday, Sept. 25. The JV team will also be at the Stratford Invitational Saturday, Sept. 22.
In another CWC-8 matchup from Sept. 18, Weyauwega-Fremont swept Amherst 25-8, 28-26, 25-16.
Team leaders for the Indians included Kelsey Akey (19 assists and four aces); Mariah Hulbert (12 assists); Bailey Kapitzke (13 kills, six aces and 14 rotation points); Danielle Austreng (nine kills and two aces); and Teal Tomaszewski (20 digs).
Weyauwega-Fremont’s JV and freshman teams will travel to Wittenberg for a quadrangular Thursday. Sept. 20. The JV team will head to the Stratford Invitational Sept. 22, while the varsity squad will compete that day at the Medford Invitational.
