Truckers celebrate Homecoming

Homecoming Week is Oct. 1-6 for the Truckers, and students have been busy with many events this week to help celebrate the occasion.

This year’s homecoming theme is “Let the Games Begin”.

Students have been participating in dress-up days each day of the week, including Video/Board Game Character Day (Monday); Pat & Vanna Day (Tuesday); Greek Olympics (Wednesday); Class T-Shirt Day (Thursday); and Orange and Black Day (Friday).

Night time activities included powderpuff football on Monday night, Hunger Games movie night on Tuesday night, guys volleyball after the varsity girls volleyball game on Thursday night, a pep rally and parade Friday afternoon, and a “Candyland” themed Homecoming Dance at the high school commons on Saturday night. The dance will be from 7-11 p.m. Court will be presented at 9:30 p.m. Parents are encouraged to come and watch. Cost for the dance is $6, but students get a dollar off admission if they bring a canned food item to donate.

Clintonville’s Homecoming football game will begin at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5, as the Truckers take on the Little Chute Mustangs.
