W-F Cub Scouts to hold food drive

The Weyauwega-Fremont Cub Scouts are holding a food drive this month.

Scouts will drop bags off at area homes on Saturday, Oct. 13 and then collect the bags on Saturday, Oct. 20.

The non-perishable food items will be donated to the Weymont Food Pantry, which serves families in the W-F School District.

Typically, the goal of the youth is to collect 2,500 food items.

This year, if the Scouts collect 5,000 items, they will get to duct tape Committee Member Deanna Volz to the totem pole in front of the Cub Scout House in Weyauwega.

If they collect 10,000 items, they will get to throw water balloons at her – while she is duct taped to the totem pole.
