The Mission Quilters of Trinity Lutheran Church in Waupaca logged 2,538 hours of their time in the past year creating 272 quilts that were sent to Lutheran World Relief on Oct. 6.
The handmade quilts will be distributed in areas around the world with the greatest need.
Trinity members also collected items to complete 80 Baby Care Kits, 56 Personal Care Kits, 22 School Kits and 10 Sewing Kits, all of which are part of the Lutheran World Relief Program.
Last year, Lutheran World Relief helped almost 5 million people in 40 countries around the world.
