Amherst’s quarterback ran for 202 yards on only 13 carries, passed for 79 yards, scored a pair of touchdowns and threw for two others Oct. 5 in a 49-0 Central Wisconsin 8 Conference win over the Thunderbirds.
The Falcons improved to 7-0 overall and 6-0 in the CWC-8 with the win, while the T-Birds fell to 1-5 in conference play and 2-5 overall.
Meanwhile, the Falcon defense held the T-Bird offense to 73 total yards and only two first downs.
Connor Zblewski opened the scoring with a 12-yard run in the first quarter before the Falcons scored four times in the second period to take a 36-0 halftime lead.
Zblewski threw a 14-yard scoring pass to Garth Groshek and a 2-yarder to Max Strand, Connor Zblewski added a 13-yard TD run and Chris Zblewski found the end zone from 25 yards out.
Neither team scored in the third quarter, but Chris Zblewski and Groshek scored on 78- and 62-yard runs, respectively, in the fourth quarter.
The Falcons outgained the T-Birds 413-23 on the ground and 79-50 through the air.
