Historical society to hold fall banquet

A fall banquet featuring guest speaker Henry Golde, a Holocaust survivor, will be held at Mason’s Ridge, 28 Ninth St., cLINTONVILLE, Thursday, Oct. 25, beginning at 5:30 p.m.

The event is being presented by the Clintonville Area Historical Society (CAHS).

The banquet will begin with a social gathering at 5:30 p.m. A meal catered by Mathew’s Supper Club will be served at 6:15 p.m. The program featuring Henry Golde will begin at 7:15 p.m. Golde was originally scheduled to speak at a CAHS event in April of this year, but fell ill and was not able to attend.

Golde will speak on his life as an 11-year-old boy living in Nazi prison camps.

Tickets are on sale through Friday, Oct. 19. There will be no tickets for the dinner sold at the door. Attendees need not be members of the CAHS.

Ticket cost is $20 per person, and are available through any CAHS board member, including Rich Beggs, Marilyn Berkvam, Cindy Carrick, George Carter, Nancy Eberhardt, Sarah Hankins, Mary Beth Kuester, Amy Steenbock, or Sandy Loberg.

Those wishing to attend the 7 p.m. speaker program only, can do so for $5 per person.
