FFA Alumni Bluegrass Bash, Nov. 3

Art Stevenson & High Water at Bear Lake Resort

October 26, 2012

The Manawa FFA Alumni will hold its sixth annual FFA Alumni Bluegrass Bash 5-11:30 p.m. Nov. 3 at Bear Lake Resort.

This event headlines Art Stevenson & High Water, plus the very popular group out of the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, Horseshoes & Hand Grenades.

The High Water band’s bluegrass sound comes from the close duet singing of husband and wife team Art and Stephanie Stevenson, along with the spirited banjo and Dobro playing of Dale Reichert, and the hard-driving mandolin picking of Bruce King.

Horseshoes and Hand Grenades is a progressive and high energy string band founded in the heart of Wisconsin.

Besides music there will be raffles, door prizes, silent auction items, and food and beverages available at the hall.

Money raised at this event is used to help fund the Manawa FFA group.

The alumni organization offers scholarships to graduates, the Ray Dusel entrepreneurial grant offering a Manawa FFA or FFA Alumni member money to develop and work through a project related to agriculture, partial payment for new member FFA jackets, provide a bus to World Dairy Expo, monies for participation in FFA State and national conventions and other non-budgeted items to be used in the classroom.

Tickets for the event are $10 in advance ($15 at the door). Included in the price is a raffle for a wood carved raccoon by Kirby Linjer and two $50 cash prizes.

For more information, visit www.littlecreekmusicfest.com, or call Randy Steingraber at 920-538-2072, or Bear Lake Resort at 920-596-3920.
