Waupaca and Amherst have advanced to the third level of the WIAA state football playoffs.
Waupaca improved to 10-0 on the season Oct. 26 with a 38-3 win over Rice Lake in Division 3, while 10-0 Amherst handed Marathon a 34-7 defeat Oct. 27 in Division 5.
Both teams will have home games for Level 3. Top-seeded Waupaca will host No. 2 Medford at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2, while Amherst, also a No. 1 seed, will host No. 2 Stratford at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3.
