Earley, Karen “Casey” (Burg)

Karen “Casey” (Burg) Earley died on October 25, 2012 at her son’s home with her family and granddogs, Ruegger and Champ, surrounding her. She was born in Lena, WI on April 22, 1943 to Norbert and Marion Burg. Casey loved working with the elderly, boutiquing at the thrift shops and fishing with her sister Mary (who she was so proud of for her commitment to our country serving 20 years in the Navy). She also enjoyed going to Packer games and watching her “son” Brett Favre play football. She will be sadly missed by her children and grandchildren, who she was so proud of, as well as family and friends. She is survived by her special friend, Tony Fadroski; brothers, Reverend Michael Burg and Louis Burg; sister, Mary Burg; five children: Sherrie (Don) Magerowski, Todd Pruess and friend Julie, Gerald “Jay” Earley, Dale (Sandy) Earley and Tami Earley; 15 grandkids: Parker Leigh (Stacy) Tignor; Stephanie (Corey) Reilly; Tristan and Erick Magerowski; Cody, Jake and Amanda; Gina and McCaulley Earley; Kailin and Kelly; Courtney and Tylor Bunno; Fayeanne Matuszek; and Brennan Earley. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents, brothers: Norman “Butch” Burg, Frank Burg, Eugene Burg; sister-in-law, Valerie Burg; former husband Gerald Earley; and her bestest buddies, Shirley and Fran Stumbris. The family would like to thank St. Vincent’s 9th floor nursing staff and doctors for their care, support and getting mom her coffee. Also, Heartland Hospice nurses and staff. Casey would like to thank and recognize her special friends and neighbors for all their help and support including Mimi and Dick Messenger, neighbor Tom, Linda Henrichs. Per Casey’s wishes she will be cremated and buried in Lena Catholic Cemetery. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, November 9, 2012, with Reverend Michael Burg officiating. A celebration of life will be held following the ceremony. The Maple Crest Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
