November 14, 2012

Christus Lutheran Church hosted a special visitor this past weekend.

Rev. Dereje Jemberu, vice president of the Ethiopian Evangelical Church Mekane Yesus (EECMY), spoke to members of the church and visited with Clintonville Rotarians on Monday, Nov. 5.

The EECMY is a Lutheran organization of over 11,500 congregations with 6 million members in Africa.

Jemberu and three other representatives are here in the United States visiting congregations and attending conferences across the country. Jemberu attended worship at Christus on Sunday, Nov. 4 and spoke on prayer at an evening event there for all area LCMC/NALC congregations.
