Clintonville plans Christmas parade

A Holly Jolly Christmas Parade will be held in downtown Clintonville at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 1.

Families can visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus following the parade until 2 p.m. at Erickson Pharmacy. Photos will be taken free of charge by Harmony Portrait Studio.

Children can also mail letters to Santa in the special North Pole Express mailbox located in front of the Community Center on the corner of Main Street and 10th Street. For a reply, please include a self addressed, stamped envelope (until Dec. 15).

The Clintonville High School Chamber Choir will also perform at Erickson’s after the parade.

The Box in the Wood Theatre Guild will present “Christmas World” at 2 p.m. at the Rexford-Longfellow School Auditorium. Admission is free-no reservations are necessary.

The Clintonville Area Historical Society will be holding a bake sale at the corner or Main Street and 10th Street from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Treasure sleuths can also search for the hidden Christmas Medallion. Only one medallion will be placed somewhere within Clintonville city limits. It will not be placed indoors. A total of four clues will be given, with one given each week beginning Dec. 3. Clues will be posted in the Clintonville Area Chamber of Commerce window at 1 S. Main Street.

The person who finds and returns the Christmas Medallion to the Chamber of Commerce office will receive $50 in Chamber Bucks.
