Bulldogs lose to Pulaski, win over Wautoma

The Pulaski Red Raiders overwhelmed the New London boys varsity basketball team by a score of 63-36 on Nov. 15, but New London bounced back with a 74-36 win over Wautoma on Nov. 19.

Jake Pinch had nine points to lead the Bulldogs, while Chris Steingraber added eight. Ryan Wolf scored six, and Caleb Chmielewski added five. Luke Listle contributed four points, while Devon Garbers and Maurice Williams both chipped in two points.

The Bulldogs made 16 of 40 field goals, but missed all 13 of their 3-point attempts. Pulaski made 21 of 43 field goals, and six of 13 from 3-point range.

New London 74, Wautoma 36

Listle scored 15, Garbers added 13, and Steingraber scored 12 as the Bulldogs rolled to a big win over the Hornets.

Pinch scored eight and Jake Thomas added six points in style, throwing down two dunks. Chmielewski scored four, while Williams, Wolf, Jared Thebo and Hunter Sullivan scored three each. Tyler Raschke and Drew Phillips both scored two.

New London made 27 of 58 shots from the field and seven of 21 from 3-point range. The Bulldogs also out rebounded the Hornets 42-27. The Bulldog defense held the Hornets to just 13 of 45 shooting, and four of 11 from 3-point land.
