Jagiello steps in to lead Bulldogs

New coach Ken Jagiello will lead the New London Bulldogs boys basketball team this year, as his team battles for prominence in the Bay Conference.

December 5, 2012

New coach Ken Jagiello will lead the New London Bulldogs boys basketball team this year, as his team battles for prominence in the Bay Conference.

Jagiello is entering his third year coaching, as he has two years experience coaching in New Berlin West from 1992-94, where he posted a 21-21 record.

Last year, the Bulldogs had an 8-8 conference record and 12-11 overall record.

Returning senior letter winners include Chris Steingraber, Luke Listle and Caleb Chmielewski. Juniors Ryan Wolf and Jacob Pinch also earned letters last season, and are expected to be a big part of this year’s team.

Other varsity candidates include seniors Jared Thebo, Devon Garbers, Drew Phillips and Maurice Williams. Juniors Tyler Raschke, Jacob Thomas and Hunter Sullivan will also see playing time this year.

The Bulldogs lost Tyler Wenzel, Jason Wenzel, Austin Huntley, Ryan Ferge and Ryan Karow to graduation.

“We want to play an up-tempo style, play several players, and put pressure on our opponents,” said Jagiello. “Our goal is to be competitive and have an opportunity to win every game. Athletes to watch this year include Chris Steingraber, Luke Listle, Devon Garbers, Ryan Wolf and Jacob Pinch.”
