Waupaca Middle School students will present two Christmas concerts from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 10, in the auditorium.
The two concerts will feature all the WMS choirs under the direction of Laurel Leder and Nancy Grams.
The first concert at 6 p.m. will feature the fifth-grade students, the sixth-grade mixed choir and the After School Choir.
The After School Choir’s songs include Somewhere in My Memory, It’s Christmas Time, The Gift and Making Angles in the Snow.
The fifth grade will take the stage with Hanukkah, Oh Hanukkah, Peaceful Night, A Simple Song, The Christmas Sock Rock, Reindeer on the Roof and Santa Makes the Rounds.
The Sixth Grade Mixed Choir will perform I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus, Good King Wenceslas, Give the Gifts of Christmas, Super Santa! and Jubilate Deo! To finish the concert fifth and sixth grades together will be performing Silent Night/Night of Silence.
The second Christmas concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. and will feature the Seventh and Eighth-Grade Mixed Choirs along with Brioso Chorale. These groups, accompanied by Wanda Eikenbary and Tamara Jacquet, will perform Bidi Bom, Hot Chocolate from the “Polar Express,” The Little Drummer Boy/Peace on Earth, Grandma’s Killer Fruitcake, Sleigh Bells, Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree, Dona Nobis Pacem and Jazzy Old St. Nick.
Brioso Chorale will offer All I Want Is Nuttin’, A Hanukkah Remembrance and Amani (A Song of Peace). The boys from both choirs will sing a Gregorian Chantt. The choirs together will sing Illumina Occulos and Carol of the Bells. This concert will also end with Silent Night/Night of Silence.
The concerts are free and open to the public. Doors open at 5:35 p.m.
