I’d like to take this opportunity to introduce Multi Media Channels, LLC, the new owners of this local community publication.
Multi Media Channels is a newly formed subsidiary of Brown County Publishing. On Dec. 3, 2012, we purchased the Waupaca Buyers’ Guide, Marathon County Buyers’ Guide, Stevens Point Buyers’ Guide, Wood County Buyers’ Guide, Rhinelander Hodag Buyers’ Guide, New London Buyers’ Guide, Clintonville Shoppers’ Guide, Merrill Foto News, Rhinelander Star Journal, Waupaca County Post East and West, and Silent Sports magazine from Journal Community Publishing Group.
Our family has been in the publishing business since 1953. In 2004, we sold 34 publications to Gannett. Ever since that time, we’ve been waiting for the right opportunity to get back to our roots and into the publishing business again. In 2009 we purchased the Auto Gazette from JCPG and continue to publish that, along with Auto Plus, out of our Green Bay office. When the opportunity to purchase this group of publications arose this year, it seemed like a perfect fit for us and just what we had been waiting for.
We’ve always been committed to the local communities that we serve, and we want to continue to build on the local brands and strengthen our presence in your community.
These are exciting times for all of us. I look forward to your feedback on our publications and hearing your ideas on what’s working and what could use a little more attention. These are your community papers and we want you to feel that you have a voice in what you read.
