Paulson honored for volunteerism

Norm Paulson was recently recognized by the Iola Old Car Show (IOCS).

Paulson has been active in two of IOCS’s member organizations – the Waupaca VFW Post 1037 and the Norsemen Snowmobile Club.

Always willing to help in any way, Paulson has dedicated many years of service to the Iola Old Car Show and Iola Vintage Military Show. Additionally, he helped with planning the early Military Vehicle Shows.

As a member of VFW Post 1037, Paulson served as past commander and has always been willing to help, including many hours of bell ringing for the Salvation Army each Christmastime.

On behalf of the IOCS Board of Directors and staff members, Mitchell Swenson, public relations director, expressed appreciation to Paulson for his dedication to these shows and organizations and, above all, for his service to our country.

A framed aerial photo of the IOLA ’12 Old Car Show was presented.

Additionally, the Iola Old Car Show recognized Mike Lauritzen and L&L Propane of Waupaca.

L&L has been a great supporter for many community events, including the Iola Old Car Show.

Lauritzen was unable to attend, but in speaking to him on the telephone he stated, “It’s a two-way street, the advertising from the car show end helps him so he is delighted to give back.”

The Iola Old Car Show, Inc. appreciates Lauritzen for his contributions. He, too, will be presented with a framed aerial photo.
