Truckers top Irish, 38-37

Solid free throw shooting under pressure helped earn the Truckers a win over the Freedom Irish on Friday, Dec. 14.

Clintonville made two free throws in the final five seconds to earn the 38-37 win.

Freedom led 8-6 after one quarter and 22-14 after two periods of play.

In the third quarter, the Truckers outscored Freedom 17-6 to take the lead.

Freedom outscored Clintonville 9-7 in the final frame, but Clintonville still held on for the win.

Aaron Ziemer scored 16 opints to lead Clintonville, while Jesse Brauer added 11. John Schultz scored nine points, and Jansen Van Daalwyk and Kolin Kubitz both scored one point.

Clintonville made 11 of 38 shots (28.9 percent) and four of 18 3-point shots (22.2 percent). The Truckers made 12 of 20 free throws (60 percent), and pulled down 24 rebounds.
