Mark R. Winkler, 56, Waupaca, was charged with felony possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
On Dec. 17, Waupaca Police Sgt. Mario Graceffa dispatched to the Holiday gas station where they met a man who said his roommate’s friend, identified as Winkler, had been hiding a water cooler containing marijuana in a back room at their apartment.
The man gave Graceffa the cooler which had a plastic bag with what later tested positive as marijuana, according to the criminal complaint.
Graceffa and Officer Brent Krueger went to the man’s apartment where they spoke with Winkler. They reported finding a bag of marijuana and a pot pipe in his pockets.
Winkler was convicted of possession of marijuana in Portage County in November 2009, according to court records. He faces up to three years in prison if convicted of felony possession of marijuana.
