Sexton, Annette H.

Annette H. Sexton, age 81, New London died unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 18, 2012.

She was born on August 12, 1931, in Weyauwega daughter of the late Lawrence and Adalia (Rex) Groher. On August 27, 1949, she was united in marriage to Dennis “Dave” Sexton in Royalton. Annette formerly worked as a bookkeeper at Hamilton Pickle Factory, OK Credit, and LaSalle Clinic retiring in 1998. She was a member of the Red Hats, Shamrock Club and volunteered at St. Joseph Residence. Annette was an active member of Most Precious Blood Church, where she was member of the Parish Council of Catholic Women and the Catholic Women’s Study Club. Annette was a dedicated volunteer especially at the church Resale shop where she helped for numerous years. Annette participated in variety of Bible study groups at the parish and will be deeply missed by her Thursday morning group that she has been involved with for many years. She loved to travel and had a strong sense of family. She also enjoyed her daily swim and coffee with her friends.

She is survived by daughters, Kathleen Olson, Clintonville; Mary Sexton, Neenah; sons, Michael, Patrick, James, all of New London; Jerome (Lona), Plover; and Mark (Debra), Hartland; brother-in-laws, Tom (Lynn) Sexton, Elcho; and James Plummer, Oshkosh; sister-in-law, Carol Sexton, Appleton; grandchildren. Doug (Jamie) and Brian Hansen, David, Andy, Miranda, Cullen, Garrett, Brooke Sexton; great-grandchildren, Noah, Sabrina, and Sage Hansen and Dixon Sexton. She is also survived by many, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband (1987), and a grandson, Kirk Hansen. Funeral

Mass for Annette was held at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church, New London on Saturday, December 22, 2012, at 11:30 AM with Fr. Arul Joseph Irudamoney officiating. Burial was at the St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery, Lebanon. Visitation was held at the church on Saturday from 9:00 AM until the time of service.
