A hot-shooting Trucker boys varsity basketball team earned a 55-38 win over the Fox Valley Lutheran (FVL) Foxes on Tuesday, Dec. 18.
Clintonville led 13-8 after one quarter and 29-11 at halftime.
The third quarter saw the Truckers dominate the Foxes, outscoring them 21-13.
FVL outscored Clintonville 14-5 in the final frame, but couldn’t catch the Truckers.
John Schultz scored 16 points for Clintonville, while Jansen Van Daalwyk scored 13. Jesse Brauer added eight, while Kolin Kubitz scored six. Aaron Ziemer netted five points, Andy Schmidt scored four, and Adam Weatherwax scored three.
Clintonville made 18 of 45 shots (40 percent) and seven of 14 from 3-point range (50 percent). The Truckers also made 12 of 16 free throw attempts (75 percent).
Clintonville grabbed 27 rebounds, with 10 coming on the offensive end of the court. The Truckers also had 12 assists, 11 steals, three blocks, and five deflections while turning the ball over 14 times.
