Cold shooting in the first half kept the game close, but the New London girls’ basketball team pulled away from the Denmark Vikings in the second half to maintain their perfect record Thursday, Jan. 10.
New London led 11-4 after one quarter and 22-17 at halftime.
The Bulldogs outscored the Vikings 13-10 in the third quarter and 14-3 in the final frame to secure the 49-30 victory. New London is now 10-0 overall and 6-0 in the Bay Conference. Their winning streak is currently at 52 games.
Brenna Heise scored 11 points to lead New London, while Mickey Roland scored nine. Cambria Fitzgerald, Amber Pethke and Lexi Roland all scored eight points. Megan Schlieve added three points, and Alycia Halvorson scored two.
The Lady Bulldogs play at home on Friday, Jan. 18. Opening tip is set for 7:15 p.m.
