Christmas was made a little brighter for more than 45 kids in the Manawa area through Central Wisconsin Electric Cooperative’s (CWEC) Toys for Tots program.
Each year the CWEC partners with the U.S. Marine Corp Reserve and area businesses to help put smiles on area children’s faces on Christmas.
For the Manawa area, the co-op works directly with the school to get a list of the kids in need to deliver toys.
“It’s a daunting task indeed and one we certainly couldn’t do without the help of friends,” said CWEC’s Mark Forseth.
He extended appreciation to Premier Community Bank, Manawa Elementary School, Little Wolf Junior/Senior High School, and Sturm Memorial Library for serving as a collection site, Cindy Kelm, LWJSHS counselor, and her “elves,” County Post East and, most importantly, all who donated money and toys.
