Violet M. Malinski, age 94, New London, died on Thursday, January 17, 2013, at Greentree Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Clintonville.

Violet M. Malinski, age 94, New London, died on Thursday, January 17, 2013, at Greentree Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Clintonville.

Violet was born on April 15, 1918, in the Town of Deer Creek, daughter of the late Lawrence and Alvina (Balthazor) Stilen. On April 25, 1936, she was united in marriage to Myron Fields; following his death she was united in marriage to John Malinski May 9, 1967. Violet formerly worked at Hortonville Toy Factory, Shiocton Kraut Factory, and St. Joseph Residence. She loved to crochet and tend to her flower garden.

Violet is survived by her daughter, Rose Jarvais (Don) Davis, Bear Creek; son, Clarence (Phillis) Fields, New London; a sister, Goldie Greshamer, New London; sister-in-law, Joyce Stilen, Shiocton. She is further survived by eight grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, brothers and sister in-laws: Ronald (Marcella) Stilen, Floyd (Joe) (Mae) Stilen; Roger (Cordell) Stilen, Maurice Stilen and Dee (George) Barnes and Charles Greshamer.

Funeral services for Violet will be held on Tuesday, January 22, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at Cline & Hanson Funeral Home, New London with Lincoln Wood officiating. Burial will be in the Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 4-7 p.m. and also on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
