Johnson, Mark A.

Mark A. Johnson, age 53, of Madison, formerly of Scandinavia, passed away on Saturday, January 19, 2013.

He was born in Lawrence, Kansas on July 12, 1959 to Alvin F. and Dixie A. Johnson. Mark had a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Information Systems from Regis University in Denver and earned an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science from Community College of the Air Force. He was married to Belinda Miller on May 26, 1979 in Wichita, KS. He joined the Air Force in 1977 and served over 10 years. He was a member of AARL Ham Radio group, Morse Code Group and was a weather spotter for Waupaca County. Mark worked as a Systems Engineer for Epic in Madison.

He is survived by his wife, Belinda; three children: Kimberly (Tim) Walls, she is a Veterinary Technician 68T in the US Army; Diana Johnson, Flight Instructor; and Michael Johnson, A & P License and Avionics License. Siblings: Beth (Robert) Richey; Tim (Mary) Johnson and Jay (Lisa) Johnson, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The visitation will start at 12 p.m. Saturday, January 26, 2013 with a Memorial Service at 1 p.m. and Military Honors to follow at the Maple Crest Funeral Home of Waupaca. A memorial fund has been established.
