County offers trees, shrubs

The Waupaca County Land and Water Conservation Department is offering trees and shrubs for the 2013 spring planting season.

The trees and shrubs are sold in lots of 25 for $20 or in lots of 100 for $70.

Order forms are available at the Conservation office, located on the first floor of the Courthouse, 811 Harding St., Waupaca. Forms may also be requested by calling 715-258-6245, e-mailing [email protected] or online at www.co.waupaca.wi.us under “Order Trees” on the home page.

Available evergreen transplants include Norway red pine, Norway spruce, Eastern Arborvitae, white pine and white spruce.

Available deciduous tree and shrub seedlings include hybrid poplar, dogwood, highbush cranberry, river birch, red oak, swamp white oak and butterfly bush.

This year’s deadline for ordering is Feb. 28, but supplies are limited. There is no guarantee or warranty on any tree or shrub sold. The pick-up date for trees and shrubs is scheduled for mid-April 2013; notification by mail will confirm the exact date and time.
