The Iola-Scandinavia Thunderbird swim team headed to Stevens Point Jan. 26 for a meet with about 400 other swimmers.

Ethan Olson, Dylan Kostuch and Jessica Gutschow led the 12- and 13-year-old swimmers. Olson placed second in the 100 breaststroke; third in the 100 freestyle, fifth in the 50 freestyle and seventh in the 100 backstroke; Kostuch had three seventh-place finishes; and Gutschow finished as the top Iola swimmer for the girls in this group.
