Jake’s Family Restaurant, located at 317 S. Main Street, officially opened for business on Monday, Feb. 4.
The restaurant was previously known as Jenny’s Family Restaurant.
“My father was in this area and had worked at Jenny’s,” said new owner Jake Vera-Linares. “We thought it would be a good idea for the two of us to work together. The previous owners wanted to move to a different location in the Fox Valley, and approached us about purchasing and operating this restaurant. My father and I decided to go for it, and we’re excited to be here.”
The menu features American food, as well as a page of Mexican food items.
“We took out some of the Jenny’s Family Restaurant menu items that were not as popular, and we added some new items such as Buffalo wings. We will continue to serve gyros, as those were very popular.”
The restaurant serves breakfast all day long. Lunch and dinner items are also available. Customers can dine in or call ahead and order carry-out by phoning 715-823-6811.
“Eventually, we may stay open after bar hours, if there is enough demand,” concluded Vera-Linares.
The restaurant is open every day from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Applications are still being accepted for wait staff positions.
