Boys’ basketball teams now know where they will open the upcoming state tournament.
Tournament play in all five divisions kicks off with regional play Tuesday, Feb. 19.
Here’s a rundown of local teams and where they will play:
Division 2
Marshfield Sectional: No. 5 Waupaca at No. 4 Shawano; No. 3 New London at No. 2 Antigo. No. 1 Hortonville has a bye in the first round and will host the Waupaca/Shawano winner Friday, Feb. 22.
Division 3
Ashwaubenon Sectional: No. 11 Northland Pines at No. 6 Clintonville.
Division 4
Appleton North Sectional: No. 5 Rosholt at No. 4 Iola-Scandinavia; No. 9 Menasha St. Mary Central at No. 8 Weyauwega-Fremont; No. 11 Manawa at No. 6 Reedsville; No. 6 Plainfield Tri-County at No. 3 Wild Rose. No. 1 Amherst has a bye in the first round and will host the Iola-Scandinavia/Rosholt winner Friday, Feb. 22.
Division 5
Menasha Sectional: No. 8 Tigerton at No. 1 Almond-Bancroft; No. 6 Northland Lutheran at No. 3 Marion.
Regional finals are scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 23; sectional finals will be played Saturday, March 2; and the state semifinals and finals will be played March 7-9 at the Kohl Center in Madison.
