BARBIE EXHIBIT OPEN
American Icon has her own Exhibit!
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE February 15-New London-The New London Public Museum starts the 2013 temporary exhibit schedule by welcoming an American Fashion Icon, Barbie! The Barbie Exhibit at NLPM opened February 18 and continues through May 18. As part of the exhibit, NLPM is hosting a Barbie Doll Show and Share. Bring up to three dolls to show and share on Wednesday, February 27 at 4:30-6:30 pm. Barbie doll expert, Sharon Korbeck-Verbeten, will be here to identify your doll and tell you more about it. The event and exhibit are free. You don’t want to miss this walk down memory lane!
This fun look at one of America’s most popular toys gives everyone a chance to wax nostalgic for the good old days of playing with Barbie dolls. We have dolls and accessories from all eras. This exhibit is made up entirely from items loaned to the museum from community members. Stop in and enjoy!

Learn more in the hands-on Curiosity Corner filled with interesting projects and things to do. Want to discover more, our research library is available by appointment. The museum is located in the lower level of the New London Public Library, 406 S. Pearl St. and is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday (year-round) and 10 a.m.- 1 p.m. Saturday (Labor Day to Memorial Day). Admission is free.
