Woodcarving group meets monthly

The Waupaca Area Woodcarvers held its first meeting on Feb. 18, at the Waupaca Area Public Library.

The goal of the club is to promote woodcarving to those interested in the hobby.

Anyone who has an interest in carving, whether beginner or advanced, is invited to join the club.

In the future, the club hopes to offer woodcarving classes and hold a woodcarving show in the Waupaca area.

Membership is currently open to those over age 18.

The club may open its membership to youth carvers in the future.

The meetings will be held at the library on the last Monday of the month.

The club is currently looking for a place to hold its meetings which would also allow the members to have carving sessions each month.
