Michael L. DeSigne of Waupaca, age 60, passed away on Friday, March 8, 2013 at Appleton Medical Center.
He was born to Mr. & Mrs. Houston on June 12, 1952. After his father died he was placed in an orphanage and was adopted by the DeSigne family. He was a top track runner at Benson High School in Illinois. He served in the Air Force during Vietnam. Michael married Bonnie Peterson on June 19, 1976. He had worked at Plexus in Neenah. He loved fishing, music and especially enjoyed spending time with his daughter, nieces and nephews, spending weekends together camping and having fun. He loved the Green Bay Packers and was a Chicago Cubs fan.
He will be sadly missed by his wife: Bonnie and daughter: Mandi both of Waupaca; mother-in-law: Iona Peterson, sisters-in-law: Sandy Gabrielson, Linda (Ronald) Hanson; nieces and nephews: Scott (Krissy) Hanson, Kayla (Jason) Stalter, Lance (Val) Gabrielson, Karen Gabrielson, great nieces and nephews: Lyndsay, Ryan, Ross, Makenna, Easton, Breckon, Keegan and Owen, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law: John Peterson and brother-in-law: David “Gabe” Gabrielson.
The Memorial Service will be on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at 5:13 p.m. at the Maple Crest Funeral Home, with Rev. Larry Gross officiating. The visitation will be on Tuesday at the funeral home from 3 p.m. until the time of the service. Full Military Honors will follow the service.
