Trucker gymnasts ended the 2012-13 season with a banquet at Mathew’s.
Varsity Letter winners are sophomores, Laken Wait and Amber Krueger. Lindsay Pastovic and Ali Moon earned participation awards due to injuries incurred during the season that didn’t allow them to continue to compete.
Wait was honored with Most Dedicated gymnast because of her almost perfect attendance. She only missed two practices from November through February and attended all meets, once competing by herself.
Captain Amber Krueger had the highest average on all four events and all around, earning her the most valuable gymnast award. Krueger also was selected for All Conference Honorable Mention by the Eastern Valley Gymnastic Conference Coaches.
“We are so impressed with Laken and Amber, they competed under unusual circumstances this season, sometimes just the two of them. They worked hard without a big team to encourage them, yet they had a very successful season,” said Coach Sue Kenfield.
