Lucille E. Butzin, age 89, of Amherst, WI passed away on Friday, March 15, 2013 at Wisconsin Veterans Home where she was a resident.
Lucille was born in Sussex, WI on August 15, 1923, the daughter of the late Herbert and Esther (Eichstedt) Becker. On March 2, 1946 Lucille married William A. Butzin in Milwaukee and he preceded her in death on June 19, 2007. She is a member of St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church.
She is survived by her children: Mary (Gerald) Deuman, Amherst; Carol (David) Makuski, Waupaca and Larry (Gail) Butzin, Waupaca. Lucille is also survived by seven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, eleven step great grandchildren, her sisters: Marian (Robert) Petrach, Ft. Worth, Texas; Gladys (Lowell) Holtz, Milwaukee and Florence Baertlein, Winona, MN; her brothers: Chester (Delores) Becker, Sussex; Kenneth Becker, Random Lake; Daniel (Darlene) Becker, Waukesha and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her son, Michael and a brother Fredrick.
The Funeral Mass will be on Wednesday, March 20 at 11 AM at St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church, 8611 State Hwy 54 Between Plover and Waupaca, Town of Buena Vista, with Father Hector Moreno, officiating. Burial will be in the spring at St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery, Town of Lanark. Visitation will be on Wednesday morning from 9:30 AM to 11 AM at the church. Holly Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
