Facts do not support bans

“This year will go down in history … for the first time a civilized nation has full gun registration. Our streets wil be safer, our police more efficient, and the world will follow our lead into the future.” – Adolph Hitler, 1935.

History shows us disarmed citizens can be put into cattle cars in a most efficent manner.

In the U.S.A., private guns are above the 300 million mark, and sales have increased greatly since Barack Obama was elected.

While we have more guns, the FBI Uniform Crime Reporting statistics show our murder rate has dropped to levels last seen during the Kennedy Administration.

The United States is less violent than it was 40 years ago.

Among our most violent places are Washington, D.C. and Chicago, both of which had gun bans for years.

Gun deaths among gang bangers are high.

Do we want to be a country like Mexico, where guns are almost forbidden, but as a nation, ranks #7 in firearm deaths?

On the other end of the scale, we see Switzerland.

According to Dr. Constance Uribe, “Switzerland has more than 2 million firearms in the hands of citizens, 600,000 of them are automatic rifles, and gun violence is so low the Swiss do not bother keeping statistics.”

In the U.S.A., statistics show crime is reduced when responsible citizens have guns.

Murder rates are high in areas with gun bans.

More U.S. citizens are murdered by clubs and hammers than by long guns.

The facts do not support gun bans.
