HCE hosts Spring Fling

Waupaca County Home and Community Education will host its annual Spring Fling, Thursday, April 18, at the Waupaca County Courthouse, Waupaca.

Classes begin at 8:30 a.m. in lower level room 42.

Bill Koontz, an environmental protection specialist of the Oneida Nation, will speak on bird migration and how the hermit thrush got its song.

Bonnie Timm, with Silver Mist Garden Center, will teach attendees how to start a garden and how to keep plants healthy.

Dr. Fred Raschke, DC, Raschke Chiropractic Center of Weyauwega, will give tips to prevent injury, increase stamina while connecting with the outdoors.

Ardyce Eisentraut, Strong Missions Trip, will share her will share her experience in Costa Rica and explain how a helping hand can make a difference.

Registration is $15 for the full day with lunch, $12 for half a day with lunch, $6 for half a day without lunch. Add $2 for late or same-day registration.

Send name, address, phone number, along with check made out to Waupaca County HCE, to Carol Neuman, 3134 Cross Road, Waupaca, WI. 54981. The deadline for registration is Wednesday, April 10.

Payment must accompany registration, not accepted by phone, transferable but not refundable.
