Jarchow, Elizabeth Ann

Elizabeth Ann Jarchow, age 66, Pardeeville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 5th 2013 at her home on Swan Lake after battling cancer.

Elizabeth was born on December 22, 1946 in Appleton WI, the daughter of Gordon and Edith (De Groot) Baumgart. She grew up in Weyauwega and graduated from Seymour High School, class of 1964. She was united in marriage to Dennis Jarchow on January 4, 1966 and three sons blessed their marriage. Most near and dear to Elizabeth were her sons, daughters-in-law and grandchildren; they were her pride and joy. Her most treasured moments were the sunny days she spent with her family boating and fishing on Swan Lake. Elizabeth was well known throughout Columbia County and made many friends through her travels while working in sales and marketing. She was a lifetime member of the VFW auxiliary as well as the Homemakers Club since 1979. She was passionate about her flower and vegetable garden. She thoroughly enjoyed music, traveling, Packer games and Nascar. She was always on the go, eager for a new adventure, and inquisitive about everything life had to offer. She had a warm and vibrant personality and a unique ability to transcend love to many different types of people. She was charismatic and had an uncanny ability to listen genuinely and without judgment, making her instantly loveable to so many.

A Celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Mary Catholic Church in Pardeeville. Father David Greenfield will preside. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday morning from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.

She is survived by her three sons, Russell (Terri) of Pardeeville, Douglas (Julie) of Appleton, Steve (Diane) of Reedsburg; three grandchildren, Kyle, Brooke and Danielle. She is further survived by Dennis of Fond du Lac, and a special friend and companion Bob Cyra of East Troy; brothers, Gordon (Beverly), John, and Mike (Patty); sister-in-law Geraldine, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was proceeded in death by her parents; a brother, Carl; grandparents Fred and Nellie (Coenen) Baumgart and Francis Hahnemann. We love and miss you, Mom. You will always be in our hearts and we will think of you as the sun shines over the water. The Smith Funeral Home in Pardeeville is serving the family.
