Robert C. Krenke, age 84, of Fremont, died on Monday, May 13, 2013 at Appleton Medical Center.
He was born on May 29, 1928, in the Town of Wolf River, the son of the late Leo and Lydia (Trojan)Krenke. On November 18, 1950, Bob married Rosanna Brooks at St. John’s Lutheran Church in East Bloomfield. Bob farmed in the Town of Wolf River for 62 years, and he also enjoyed fishing and hunting. Bob was a member of St. John Lutheran Church where he served as a former trustee.
Bob is survived by his wife of 62 years, Rosanna; a daughter, Cynda(Thomas) Thompson, Sussex, WI; three grandchildren, Jeremy (Jani) Thompson, Mansfield, TX; Jeffrey (Whitney) Thompson, McKinney TX; and James Thompson, Sussex, WI; four great-grandchildren, Callan, Cort, Hailey and Collin; a sister, Karen Schuelke, Occala, FL; two sisters-in-law, Geraldine Schneekloth, Waupaca and Caroline Brooks, Wild Rose; a brother-in-law, Dodge (Leah) Brooks, Fremont; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Rae; and a brother-in-law, Donald Schuelke.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2013 at 11:00 AM at St. John Lutheran Church, 8580 37th Ave, Fremont. Rev. Paul Fritz will officiate. Burial will be in East Bloomfield Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, at the church, from 9:30 AM until the time of service. A memorial fund has been established. Bob’s family would like to extend a very special Thank You to the nurses at ThedaCare at Home Hospice for all of their wonderful care during this time. It was greatly appreciated.
