William “Bill” Schumacher, age 93, Weyauwega, went to his heavenly home on Monday, June 10, 2013, at Lakeview Manor in Weyauwega.
He was born on May 22, 1920, in Weyauwega, son of the late William Sr. and Lydia (Dobbert) Schumacher. On July 29, 1950, he was united in marriage to Ramona Haffner. Bill worked at Wolf River Sausage in Weyauwega for 21 years. Following the sale of Wolf River Sausage, he worked for Churny Company for 18 years. Bill was with the Weyauwega-Fremont Volunteer Fire Department for 36 years. He was a member of St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church in Weyauwega.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Ramona; children, Rosemary (Carl) Carter, Pensacola, Florida; Robert (Joan) Schumacher, Buffalo Grove, Illinois; two grandchildren, Joseph (Sara) Schumacher, Lindsay (Sean) Murphy; one great-grandchild, Jackson William Schumacher. He is further survived by other relatives and friends. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, LaVerne Schumacher and Lucille (Eugene) Napier.
The Christian Funeral for Bill will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church in Weyauwega with Rev. Dennis Lemke officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Weyauwega. A visitation for Bill will be held directly at the church on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. The Cline-Hanson-Dahlke Funeral Home in Weyauwega is serving the family.
