Gladys L. Christian, age 82, New London, died unexpectedly on Thursday, June 13, 2013.
Gladys was born on January 27, 1931, in the Town of Ellington, daughter of the late Edward and Ida (Janke) Loos. She was married to Roger Christian on April 9, 1949, in New London. He preceded her in death in 2000. Gladys worked at Dean Foods for 20 years. She was an avid motorcyclist with her husband Roger.
She is survived by her daughters, Lisa (Vince) Urban, Lynn (Bill) Stiebs, and Debra (Walter) Blank, all of New London; sons: Kevin (Kelly), Minnesota; Ken (Terri), Hortonville; David (very special friend, Jamie), New London, Jim (LaRaine), New London, Larry (Patti), New London and Denny (Cindy), Stephensville. A sister, Bernice Smith, Shiocton, sister-in-law, Phyllis Klinger. Eighteen grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren and also numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant son, Jerry, grandson, Joey, 4 brothers: Roland, Alvin, Wilbert, Clarence Loos, 2 sisters, Ruth Lider, and Eunice King.
Funeral services for Gladys will be held on Monday, June 17, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at Cline & Hanson Funeral Home, New London. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in the Hortonville Union Cemetery. Mom, words cannot express how heartbroken we are.
