Lawrence “Larry” Cottrill, age 69, New London died on Thursday, June 13, 2013, at his residence surrounded by his loving family following an extended illness.
Larry was born on September 21, 1943, in New London son of the late Kenneth and Bernice (Seif) Cottrill. On July 27, 1986, he was united in marriage to Bobbie Bretthauer in New London. Larry worked as a machinist at FWD in Clintonville for 32 years until poor health forced his retirement in 2001. He loved to ride his Harley-Davidson Softail Lowrider, hunting, fishing and watching the Packers. He also enjoyed putting together puzzles with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Bobbie; daughter Shelbie Cottrill (Chad) Behling, New London; a sister Lorna (Larry) Clark, Whitewater; two grandchildren, Domenic and Tava Behling and two step-grandchildren, Savannah and Trent Behling. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A Memorial service will be held for Larry on Tuesday, June 18, 2013, at 7:00 p.m. at Cline & Hanson Funeral Home, New London. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service.
