The Clintonville American Legion Post 63 Diamond Cats baseball team started the season strong with wins over Wittenberg and Menominee last week.

Jansen Van Daalwyk earned the win on the mound, allowing five hits with three walks. He surrendered one earned run over seven innings of work.
Adam Weatherwax was 3×4 at the plate with two doubles. Van Daalwyk was 2×4, Austin Paisar was 1×2 with 2 RBI, and Kolin Kubitz and Nic Hogen each had a hit for Clintonville.
The Diamond Cats stranded 11 base runners, while Wittenberg stranded six.

Nic Hogen pitched and earned the win for the Diamond Cats.
Weatherwax was 3×4, Garrick Morgan was 3×5, Kubitz was 3×5 with a double, and Paisar was 2×5.
Jake Van Allen, Connor Ford, Nathaniel Krueger, and Zac Riemer also had hits for Clintonville.
The Diamond Cats host Marion on Thursday, June 20, at 7 p.m. The team will travel to Green Lake for a tournament on Saturday, June 22.
